    Karl Haas, Extra Space, Executive Vice President and COO
    Karl Haas joined Extra Space Storage in July 2005 and is responsible for the day-to-day operations of Extra Space Storage's almost 900 self-storage properties. Prior to joining Extra Space Storage, Karl worked for Storage USA where he served in various executive positions starting in 1988 and culminating in his tenure as Executive Vice President of Operations beginning in 1994. His previous positions include Controller at Hitman Medical Systems and various audit roles with Arthur Young. Karl received a bachelor’s degree from the University of Maryland and obtained his CPA in 1973.

    Chris Oakley, Federal Reserve Bank, Vice President and Regional Executive
    The Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta serves the Sixth Federal Reserve District, which covers the states of Alabama, Florida, and Georgia, parts of Louisiana, Mississippi, and Tennessee. It is one of the 12 regional reserve banks in the United States that, together with the Board of Governors in Washington, D.C., make up the Federal Reserve System – the nation’s central bank. Chris will provide the Atlanta Reserve Bank’s view of both the regional and national economy. This unique opportunity gives you the chance to share your inflation expectations and concerns that could influence monetary policy. Chris will provide an overview of both the regional and Florida economy.

    Brad Hunter, MetroStudy, Chief Economist and National Director of Consulting
    Brad Hunter spearheads MetroStudy’s current work with the national development community as well as investment firms. He supervises the bulk of the company’s multi-market studies and has orchestrated hundreds of site-specific or area-specific housing market studies over the past twenty-plus years of his career. Brad oversees the company’s fast-growing private equity and hedge fund consulting practice. With 23 years of experience in real estate analysis and local market economics, Brad is an active member of the Urban Land Institute and has authored numerous articles and chapters in ULI-published books including Market Profiles. He chairs various committees and will be moderating a discussion panel at the upcoming ULI Fall Meeting in Miami. Brad serves on the Housing Market Forecast Panel for the Housing Market Report alongside other prominent national housing economists. He is regularly cited in local and national journals including recent interviews by The Wall Street Journal and Bloomberg News (including regular monthly commentary on Bloomberg radio’s “On the Money,” hosted by Charlie Stein). Brad graduated in 1985 from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania with a degree in economics and has been a guest lecturer at Harvard University.

    Dale A. Brill, Ph.D., Florida Chamber Foundation, President
    Dr. Dale Brill serves as President of the Florida Chamber Foundation, the research and policy development arm of the Florida Chamber of Commerce. Working in partnership with state business leaders, the foundation advances initiatives that envision a vibrant and sustainable economy in the Sunshine State. Previously, Dale served as the Director of the Governor’s Office of Tourism, Trade and Economic Development. His experience also includes tenure as Chief Marketing Officer for VISIT FLORIDA, the state’s official tourism industry marketing corporation, as well as experience in start-up environments and as a global business leader for General Motors. Dale holds a doctorate from the University of Tennessee. He was named one of the inaugural “Fast 50 Innovators” by Fast Company magazine and one of the “Top 25 Most Extraordinary Minds” by the Hospitality Sales and Marketing Association International.

    Dr. Paul J. Voss, CEO, Areté Leadership Group, and Professor, Georgia State University
    Dr. Paul Voss is the Chief Executive Officer of Areté Leadership Group and an award-wining professor and author. His courses at Georgia State University include Shakespeare, epic poetry, the Renaissance, and the history of the book. He also teaches business ethics at the Georgia Tech School of Management. Paul publishes widely on a variety of topics and appears frequently on television and radio. His clients include The Home Depot, Duke Realty, Cox Communications, General Electric Energy, SecureWorks, FBI labs, The Federal Railroad Administration, PotashCorp, Fairmount Minerals, American Express, ASCLAD, American Express, Chubb Insurance, Global Payments, and many others.
